Next sea kayaking adventure: 6-13 January 2018
Hosted aboard: SY Sea Star/SY Sea Bird
Test your physical limits by kayaking between and around the many isles of the Seychelles.
This 7-night cruise, which is conducted in partnership with the Terra Santa sea kayaking center in Israel, is an ideal holiday for avid sea kayakers keen on exploring the dozens of beautiful granite jewels of the inner islands from a unique perspective.
By paddling from island to island, kayakers are able to see different landmarks and small coves that are not always accessible to the average tourist. The experience also doubles as a good training opportunity: whereas kayaking is not possible in colder climates in winter, the warm waters of Seychelles provide chances to roll and experiment with techniques.
Using a vessel as the platform for the expedition allows kayakers to move to different parts of the archipelago without having to transport equipment or sacrifice quality of accommodation, as both Sea Star and Sea Bird offer spacious cabins with ensuite bathrooms. The vessels also easily allow kayakers or even non-kayaking partners to be able to relax on the boat or take advantage of various water sports and island excursions, which are readily available throughout the cruise.
The smallness and close proximity of the Seychelles islands allow for very flexible itineraries, meaning guests can find their own perfect balance between the thrill and adventure of kayaking, and the leisurely pace of a peaceful island getaway.

Dive the depths of the world's most ancient islands on a 7-night cruise that seeks out the archipelago's most prolific underwater sites.
This cruise combines the underwater world of the Seychelles with a PADI dive instructor as your guide, together with the rustic charms of our historic early 1900s vessels that double as full-service floating hotels.
The limited dates we've selected for our dive safaris coincide with the best diving conditions the islands have to offer. This not only makes for great visibility, but also allows us to venture to out-of-the-way, open-sea dive sites that may not offer good enough shelter for diving at other times of the year. A dedicated tender allows divers comfort, space and mobility, while also making it easier for non-diving companions to partake in other activities during the cruise including snorkeling, kayaking and island excursions.
Most of the dive sites we'll visit feature large granite rock formations that create different passages and caves. These are home to a rich population of tropical fish, large numbers of pelagic species such as sharks, barracudas, jacks and tunas as well as rays and turtles.

The Seychelles archipelago features some of the most precious ecological treasures the world over, and this 7-night cruise provides nature-lovers the best opportunity to experience the islands' unique flora and fauna.
This cruise is aimed at those with an interest in natural history, as we take a close look back on the islands' unusual geology - as the only granite mid-ocean archipelago in the world - and the various endemic species that have been isolated here for millenia up until man first settled on the island only a couple of hundred years ago.
Together with our usual service-oriented crew of 9, an experienced naturalist is also stationed onboard, to personally accompany all nature tours and island excursions, as well as conduct discussions and presentations onboard to give guests special insight into Seychelles and its fascinating ecology.
Along the way there will be numerous opportunities to see and learn about endemic species of plants and animals, some of which are unique to a single island. The carnivorous pitcher plant, the endangered magpie robin and other rare birds, the smallest frog in the world, and of course Seychelles' famous giant tortoises, are just a few of the species we'll encounter during the cruise.
